🕊 ICWC Funeral & Burial Guidance

The Islamic Center of Williamson County (ICWC) does not directly manage funeral or burial services.
However, we are committed to supporting our community during times of loss by connecting families with
trusted local masjids and Islamic funeral service providers in the Greater Nashville area.


1. Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN) Funeral & Graveyard Services

The Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN) Graveyard & Funeral Services is a non-profit community service
established in coordination with Al-Farooq Islamic Center to provide Islamic funeral and burial
services to Muslims in Nashville and surrounding areas.

  • Funeral Services: Al-Farooq Islamic Center, 1421 4th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37210
  • Cemetery: ICN Cemetery, 8256 River Road Pike, Nashville, TN 37209

Contacts:

Funeral Service Cost: Approximately $3,500 (includes all basic materials and services; headstone not included).
Prices may change — please check the ICN website for the latest information.

In Case of Death:

  1. Call the ICN Funeral Services Line: 615-200-0755 or Koromo 615-4748385
  2. Leave a message with:
    • Name & location of the deceased
    • Family contact information
    • Contact of the facility or nurse
  3. Inform the hospital/hospice that Al-Farooq Islamic Center is the designated funeral home.
  4. Complete the Funeral Service Request Form and make payment online at
    icntn.org/funeral.
  5. Follow instructions from the ICN Funeral Director regarding transportation,
    Ghusl (washing), Kafan (shrouding), Salat al-Janazah (funeral prayer), and burial.

2. Salahuddin Center of Nashville (SCNTN)

For funeral washing (Ghusl), preparation, and coordination, we also recommend contacting
Salahuddin Center of Nashville (SCNTN). Their team provides compassionate and professional
assistance with all Islamic funeral arrangements.

SCNTN is dedicated to helping families ensure that all rites, from cleansing to burial, are performed in accordance with
Islamic tradition and with dignity.


ICWC Support

While ICWC does not perform funerals directly, our staff and volunteers are available to:

  • Offer emotional and spiritual support to grieving families.
  • Connect you with local masjids and funeral service providers.
  • Coordinate Salat al-Janazah at ICWC upon request (when feasible).
